Former Boise State player Joe O’Brien embraced faith on road to renewal
The 2005 college football season would have been my eighth as a coach. It would have been my third year as Montana State’s assistant head coach. Or maybe by then I would have moved up the coaching ladder, as many people predicted, to a defensive coordinator’s position at another school. Or maybe — just maybe — after the ’05 season I would have returned to Boise State with MSU D-coordinator Pete Kwiatkowski to join new head coach Chris Petersen.
