Open Question: how do i find the bruce trail entrance? (hiking)?

Trying to find an entrance as close to toronto as possible without going to hamilton.

Such as getting off the 401 and getting into the trail and finding parking without going to far on a detour. Unfortunately the site charges for maps and I rather wouldn't pay for it. So it's hard to find a proper entrance without going hamilton.

I'm hoping someone who knows the trail can point me out with possible car directions.

I'm thinking at the moment just going to 401 west to thompson and derry and just searching for an entrance. I'm also confused as to how the trail could possibly cut through the huge 401 am I better off getting off somewhere north of the 401 to start my hiking adventure?
